I am a certified personal trainer, group exercise instructor, adult and kids yoga instructor, and a licensed physical therapist assistant.
I began my journey as a physical therapist assistant 16 years ago, working with all ages. In recent years, I focused on doing physical therapy within the nursing home setting, but after seeing so many clients that were bedridden and suffering from many preventable conditions, I realized that I wanted to affect change. I decided that I wanted to be on the preventative end and 9 years ago I became a certified personal trainer through AFPA. And 4 years ago I became a yoga instructor through Aura Wellness Center.
My focus has been on women’s fitness and health. My background in physical therapy has allowed me to help the ‘whole’ person. Focus within class is not just weight loss, as at other fitness facilities. I have helped women to reduce blood pressure, reduce/ eliminate amount of daily medications, improve bone density, decrease resting heart rate, improve balance, flexibility, and endurance, increase muscle tone, improve sleep and reduce bodyfat/ overall inches.
I pride myself on creating a workout environment that is less intimidating and more about improving each person’s health and well-being through personal growth- physically and mentally.
